celebrate 20 years of serving the two and four

legged of Fayette County, TN.

Come.  Sit.  Stay. Celebrate.

From our humble beginnings in 1998 when two women started FCAR with an unseizing love and commitment to the animals, to our current facility housing up to 100 cats and dogs at a time – FCAR has made a difference! 

 

For the past twenty years FCAR has given our heart and soul to our community, and what a journey it has been.  There have been so many amazing success stories from adopting out seniors and special needs animals, expanding our volunteer base to over 600 caring individuals, completely overhauling our entire shelter inside and out, to spaying over 150 animals via our Spay/Neuter program this year alone. But it has not come without it’s challenges. Animal rescue is not easy, and there are days that the heartache, frustration and fear of failure can be overwhelming. But we have made it. And that is in large part because of you.

 

Your generosity throughout the years has been tremendous and all the work that we have done can be directly traced back to your support. Whether you have donated financially, volunteered, adopted, cried, laughed, sweated or froze along side of us, we are grateful. FCAR is not just a company or a building. We are a group of humans whose compassion for the animals and our community drive us every day to continue making a difference.

 

In celebration of our 20th Anniversary, we invite you to join us at our shelter

October 20, from 4-7pm.

We have also started a 20th Anniversary Fundraiser in honor of all of the animals that have been loved by FCAR over the years. Our goal is to raise $20,000.  Please join us in reaching this lifesaving goal! All donations will be used directly in support of our rescues.

 

Some of our rescues stayed just a short time and then crossed the rainbow bridge. Others have lived years with us, being loved unconditionally by our volunteers. But the majority have passed through our doors on their way to loving families where they could be loved, and give love, unconditionally. Our goal is to continue our work, saving the lives of these loving animals and placing them in forever homes where they can offer the amazing degree of companionship that we all need in our lives.
